Letter From Faye
Dear Angels, We would like to thank you for your ongoing support. Please know that 100% of your donation will be used to financially assist women in treatment for breast cancer, and their families. It will be used for food, housing, medical costs and much more. We are the only group that financially assists women with advanced breast cancer, often for years. We assist in Orange County and the surrounding areas.
This year housing is our biggest priority. We are seeing families facing foreclosure and eviction due to the drastic change in income that comes from not being able to work. It often takes months to get food stamps and SSI, if they qualify. Most of our families are living on less than $1,200 a month. Last year we assisted over 400 clients and their families and the need continues to grow. The youngest mom we are currently assisting is 25 with 2 children under 2. We are also assisting several senior women who cannot afford their co-pays.
Our organization began in 2000 and is a volunteer group effort. We could not exist without the help of wonderful “Angels” like you.

Angel Party to Honor Jean Bulicz

WOW! What can we say? We are so blessed to have this amazing women share her talents with us. She organized a wonderful event with great good; fun shopping that raised over $5,000. Thank you Andi and attendees for being Angels.

A BIG thank you to Brighton! Breast Cancer Angels was selected as the sole charity to receive $10 from each sale of a special bracelet and I.D. holder at the Brighton Collectibles at the Corona Del Mar Plaza location. We want to thank everyone that purchased this special bracelet and supported Brighton. We are so pleased to be included for this event and we look forward to the next one.

Who We Help
We first started financially assisting J.R. in 2003. She was only 31 with 5 children under 18. She was too ill to work and we assisted the family until she went into remission in 2004 and returned to work. She is now 37 and has been back in treatment since early 2009. She has 4 children under 18 still living at home. They are good students and a real help to their mom. She does not have a car and depends on the kindness of neighbors to get to treatment. She is now in reduced rent housing and we assist with food cards and Wal-Mart cards. Please keep her in your prayers.

Breast Cancer Angels in the News
The Huntington Beach Independent wrote a nice story on February 10 about Heather Shelton (who helps us in the office) and the OC Roller Girls and their charitable work with local nonprofits and Breast Cancer Angels was mentioned. Way to go ladies! Keep in mind their Roll For A Cure is in May and we are all looking forward to that.
