Angel Edie Mermelstein
Edie Mermelstein is an attorney with offices in Huntington Beach. She is a graduate of USC and after years as a tax and business consultant, found her second career in law. In 1990, as a single working mom, Edie enlisted the help of a nanny, Ignacia, to help care for her then two year old son. In 1992, Nacia’s husband left so Ignacia and her newborn son moved in full time with Edie and her son. For the next seven years the two single moms raised their sons and forged a strong sisterly bond. In October of 1999, Nacia was diagnosed with stage IV inflammatory breast cancer. Although Ignacia fought a valiant fight, she succumbed to the disease in January 2001. Prior to Ignacia’s passing, Edie adopted Ignacia’s son.
Edie currently lives in Huntington Beach with her two sons (one-a senior in college, the other- a senior in high school.) Edie’s law practice focuses on consumer issues, wills, trusts, estates and tax. After being personally touched by the Breast Cancer Angel’s generosity and good work, Edie wanted to find a way to help women in treatment. As a result, part of her practice is dedicated to helping Breast Cancer Angel clients with legal issues on a pro bono basis.

Salon Cache in Huntington Beach on October 28, 2009 hosted a wonderful evening of Wine, Women & Hope to benefit Breast Cancer Angels. Guests enjoyed wine tasting, salon demonstrations, tasty snacks and each guest received a certificate to return for a FREE Blow Dry and Style.
Hue Salon, an Aveda Lifestyle Salon & Spa in Huntington Beach during the month of October asked women to purchase a special edition Pink Ribbon Hand Relief product and then donate it to us so we can distribute to our clients. Hue Salon gifted Breast Cancer Angels over $1000 in this special lotion and we are so grateful!
St. Anthony School in Long Beach
Thank you to the students of St. Anthony Elementary School for holding a bake sale and causal day in October to raise funds for Breast Cancer Angels.
Roosters of Orange County
Thank you to the Roosters of Orange County for hosting a gala event and helping us with funds to purchase the new shirts and magnets.
Suds Sports Grill in Huntington Beach and the OC Roller Girls hosted Mugs for Jugs on November 7 and raised $500 to help Breast Cancer Angels.
